Company History of Lamp Pestproof & Wildlife Control
- Established 1948 by Wilmer Lamp in Parkersburg, WV, Marietta, OH, and surrounding areas.
- Still owned and operated by members of the Lamp family; currently, three generations.
- Charlie and Arlene (Wilmer’s daughter) ran the business from their home.
- Sherry (Charlie & Arlene’s daughter) joined in high school.
- Steve (Charlie & Arlene’s future son-in law) started working in high school, also.
- Steve & Sherry moved the business to Emerson Avenue in the late 80s.
- Service area continued to expand to include Athens, Cambridge, Caldwell, Ripley and surrounding areas.
- Continually growing staff and fleet of vehicles, as well as added specialized equipment.
- Outgrew Emerson and moved to Grand Central Avenue in 2009.
- Justin (Steve & Sherry’s son) works alongside Steve consulting and managing day to day.
- Stacey (Steve & Sherry’s daughter) provides support on special projects, marketing and social media.
